Company description
Blueprint provides software for mental health clinicians to help them deliver more effective, efficient and personalized treatment through measurement-based care.
Why solve this problem?
In 2013, one of my closest friends took his own life due to bipolar disorder. While many people in mental healthcare are focused on increasing access to mental healthcare, my friend had access. Unfortunately, he still took his own life between appointments. Measurement-based mental healthcare has been proven to improve patient outcomes and shorten the length of treatment. However, less than 20% of mental health clinicians practice measurement-based care today because it's a time-consuming, cumbersome, and archaic process. By using data to make mental healthcare more effective, we can not only help patients who already have access to achieve better outcomes, we can also help more patients get access to care by making the system more efficient.
Hardest thing about being a founder?
Staying even keeled. Being a founder is full of ups and downs and it's important to stay balanced. Celebrate your wins, but remember there's always another challenge awaiting you. Similarly, your losses should frustrate and motivate you, but focus your effort on improving for the future rather than dwelling on the past.
Biggest piece of advice for aspiring founders?
Done is better than perfect. Get started, keep improving, and don't quit.
Most exciting moment so far?
Hearing a story from one of our clinicians about how Blueprint was a contributing factor to identifying suicidal ideation and ultimately helping to keep that individual alive.
Why did you choose Bonfire?
I could not be more proud and excited to partner with Brett and the Bonfire team. From our first call, they understood our vision and believed in our mission. Brett and the team have the experience and empathy of what goes into building a game-changing company and are willing to roll their sleeves up and help.
What’s it like to work with Bonfire?
Two things stand out:
- Meeting bi-weekly with Brett and actually getting real, helpful, valuable advice on specific challenges we were working through (e.g. pricing and packaging, GTM strategy, etc)
- Belief in the mission and support through the journey - when shit hits the fan (and it always does), Bonfire was behind us and supportive…tactically and emotionally. Encouraged us to both be thoughtful and just keep swimming :)
