"We love being trusted partners at the earliest stages - when things are hard and scary, that's where we thrive."
I have been working with technology companies at the intersection of product and go-to-market for almost a decade. I have operating experience shaping sales strategy from nascence to growth at EverString, a venture-backed predictive analytics solution for sales and marketing teams (acquired by ZoomInfo), and TechValidate, a bootstrapped customer intelligence company (acquired by SurveyMonkey). Both were exciting opportunities that had their own challenges. I seek to bring the lessons from those experiences to every team I back, helping them think through product sequencing, expansion from wedge to platform, early GTM motions, and how to think about ecosystem. Getting in the trenches with these founders to work through hard problems and elusive questions, oftentimes with no “right” answers, is the best and most fulfilling part of this job.
Before jumping into start ups I worked across the Motion Pictures + Business Development teams at Creative Artists Agency, a place that helped me develop a service-centered approach and tireless mentality to helping founders build lasting businesses.
I attended USC for undergrad and earned an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I live in North Bend, WA with my wife, our 3 kids, and our 90 lb. Great Pyranese rescue with zero sense of spatial awareness or her size. I’m a die hard 49er fan who is tricked into believing “this could be the year” annually.
These days I spend most of my time looking at industrial / blue collar technology - that includes companies that are hardware centric, hardware enabled, and fully software. I am extremely excited about the challenges to be solved across bits and atoms and the opportunities to absorb pain and build real differentiation doing hard things like physical integration / configuration and driving deployment and learning in austere and complex environments. I also spend a lot of time on FinTech and the future of financial services and capital markets.
"From the volatility of the seed stage to the challenges of scaling into growth, Tyler has been a rare constant. His rare gift is bringing unwavering stability, integrity, and genuine care across the journey. Low-ego and founder-driven, he’s been a cornerstone of support. Any founder would be lucky to have him in their corner."
