Innovations in digital marketing opened our eyes to the possibilities of data driven growth through prediction, measurement, optimization, and scale. But as we’ve gotten more sophisticated as marketers, the few dominate platforms we rely on (namely Facebook and Google) have gotten more powerful, expensive, and less reliable. This creates a constant battle between scale and profitability. Postie leverages the value of learnings from digital channels to unlock the full potential of the Direct Mail channel giving savvy marketers access to this amazing channel in ways that align directly with their digital and data first strategies.
Hardest thing about being a founder?
Without a doubt, the constant battle of having a big longterm vision and the reality of accepting it takes time to build technology, work flow, and go to market. Nothing happens fast enough and when you can see the opportunity ahead it is often hard to keep the anxiety in check along the early and growth stages of the journey.
Biggest piece of advice for aspiring founders?
Letting go is really hard but critical to success. I have heard so many smart entrepreneurs say this in the past and only over the past decade fully came to understand, but the key to success in business and life is surrounding yourself with people smarter than you that compliment your skills and capabilities. It’s impossible to be great at everything and if you are not willing to allow experts to join you along the journey and take ownership over their domain you will be holding your business back.

What's it like to work with Bonfire?
